XTRATUF® Helps Out in New Orleans

Dear Team Xtra-Tuf,

I traveled to New Orleans this holiday season to volunteer
for hurricane relief efforts. I had a unique opportunity to
work with a wide range of groups on a variety of projects.
I swung a 10-pound maul to demolish a ruined library in
a devastated synagogue. I organized two young teens into
a drywall-cutting crew, supplying cut-to-order pieces for
three crews hanging them. I gutted houses and attacked
cabinets with crowbars and sledge hammers. I pried out
doorframes and packed moving trucks and pounded nails
and cooked meals and pushed wheelbarrow after
wheelbarrow of wreckage to the curb.

Throughout the experience my steel-toed Xtra-Tufs made
a tremendous difference. While I always knew that
Xtra-Tuf made the best waterproof, comfortable boots
ever, the steel toe was a new experience. There really is
nothing like the weight and durability of that steel toe for
kicking in walls and demolishing rotted furniture. The boots
made it so I could walk right through remaining toxic
floodwater, be on my feet all day, and perform heavy
demolition work without worrying about my feet. Taking
closet doors off with one roundhouse kick has never been
so fulfilling.

In my life so far, I have had the opportunity to stand in
6 inches of water and guts on a fish processor cutting
salmon for 12-16 hours a day wearing Xtra-Tufs. I have
also hiked through some of the most beautiful areas in
the Pacific Northwest and forded streams and tidal pools
while my feet remained delightfully dry.

After wearing my last pair for seven years or so,
I finally managed to destroy them while working on a
landscape crew. When I was getting ready to go down to
New Orleans this past December, I knew I would need
a new pair of Xtra-Tufs. When the company instantly
agreed to sponsor me in my endeavor by providing me
a pair of boots free of charge I was overwhelmed.

I guess there are still companies out there that not only
make a rugged, quality product, but that care about doing
good in the world.

			Thanks guys
			Sincerely,
			Joshua Rosenstein
